WIG was established as a design and engineering office in 1996 by engineers contributing shipyard experience and responsibility but above all a passion for optimum performance in design, engineering and project management. At this time large companies were increasingly outsourcing activities to external suppliers in order to act faster and more flexibly. They wanted to select best choice partners for each

commission – worldwide and independent of internal interest and factual constraints. Today many of these companies have become WIG’s regular clients.

As an independent partner supported by 36 first-class engineers and technicians WIG sets standards in consulting, design, construction and project planning of ships and offshore plants.
